I think I might just be able to make it through the next 2 1/2 weeks. Well it's no secret that I'm super excited to go home for the holidays! I've been away from home for 24 weeks now! It'll be just about 6 months since I left when I finally get to go back! It boggles my mind that it has been that long! Time goes by so quickly yet so slowly! I woke up Thanksgiving morning at about 9 o'clock and realized it was my first thursday to wake up with more than 6 hours of sleep since August! I'm so looking forward to not waking up at 4 Am everyday next semester. (I'm quitting my early morning custodian job) As much as I love being a trash lady and taking care of all of BYU students' trash (from diapers to rat heads in the food science labs) I am not going to miss that job. I am going to enjoy every minute of sleep I get. I also hope quitting will improve my social life....I'll admit I know maybe 10 people in my ward right now, but I'm moving next weekend (any volunteers for helping?!) so I'll be in a new ward which opens up a whole new social life!
So with little social life right now I have to say the dating scene isn't exactly booming. Another pro to being in a new ward! I have to admit that going to BYU definitely makes you very aware of who is married, and who is not. For example, as I walk up an isle looking for someone to sit next too during class I first sight a rather good looking guy then I quickly glance at his finger...married, no worries the guy in the next row who is just as good looking has no ring! My lucky day. I sit next to him. Yup the finger glance is a daily thing. Do it all the time.
I have officially fulfilled the typical freshmen 15! No...not something to celebrate. (To those back home...please don't comment on my waddle when I get home). I'm hoping without working I'll have a bit more ambition to go to the gym, and to eat a little healthier!
So the countdown carries on for another 18 days, 11 hours, and 44 seconds.
