He is Risen!

Easter. Similar to many holidays, the true celebration of Easter is clouded over by candy, the Easter Bunny, and other worldly items. (I'm not saying I don't look forward to the candy, and food but....) Easter is really about Christ rising from the dead after his crucifixion, and the Atonement. What a humbling celebration it is! I am so thankful for my Saviour and for what he suffered for me so that I can do my very best to return to live with my Heavenly Father.

Today we had Easter dinner with the Darby's, Wallace's and Grandma.
Abigail made origami rabbits as place cards, and decorated the table with bottles.
Yesterday, we dyed Easter Eggs with the Madeleine, and decorated cupcakes.
Abigail was very clever and used elastic bands to create designs on her eggs.
Madeleine created a "BOB" cupcake. (Bob is her stuffed animal frog)
Kate isn't quite old enough to understand what is going on, but she was very good, and enjoyed watching us all.

Now this is probably one of the most delicious desserts ever! Homemade Ice-Cream-Sandwiches! Visit the allredgirls.blogspot.com
